Is Microsoft Access Still Supported? What the Office 2021 Cutoff Means
Yes, Access is still an actively supported Microsoft product, but only in current releases. Microsoft ended support for Office 2016 and 2019 on October 14, 2025, and for Office 2021 (including LTSC 2021) on October 13, 2026, with no extended security updates. Access in Microsoft 365 and Office LTSC 2024 (supported until October 2029) remains supported. Your database will usually keep working on an older version, but it no longer receives security patches and can start failing as Windows and Office change around it.
